Catechesis & Evangelization

Baptism: infant and young Child

The Baptism of a baby or young child ( below the age of reason) is a transforming grace as they are born anew through the baptismal waters, marking them forever as Christian's. Contact the parish office or go online to obtain a baptismal packet to begin the process. Once we have received your completed packet you will receive a phone call to be given the available dates. ( If you are an adult or older child needing Baptism, please see the information about OCIA: Order of Christian Initiation for Adults or Children)

Montessori Sunday School

Children ages 2 through 5 learn about the wold God has created, they hear familiar Bible stories, and they are exposed to the signs and symbols of their Catholic faith. This is a Montessori based program that allows children to explore at their own pace and work with the materials and activites that interst them. Sessions take place every 

Children's Liturgy Of the World

Children's Liturgy of the Word is offered at the 9 am and 11 am masses during the school year. The priest gives the children a blessing and dismisses them just before the Liturgy of the Word. They learn prayers. religious songs, complete activities, and listen to the Gospel reading in a child friendly language before they return to Mass with their families. 

Reconciliation & First Communion Preparation, OCIA for non-Baptized Children& Catechesis of the Good

At St. Martha, sacramental preparation typically begins in the second grade. However, no matter what your child's age, there is a program tailored to fit their age-specific needs. Each child will complete two years of preparation covering the diocesan-mandated fundamentals of the Sacraments of Reconciliation and Communion. Children will be prepared in order to receive their First Confession and their First Holy Communion in an engaging and age-appropriate level so that they can practice fully in the Sacramental life of the the Church for the rest of their lives. The Children's OCIA is a specially designed program for children over the age of reason who have not yet received baptism. This two year program will prepare them to receive all of the Sacraments of Initiation in the Easter season. For more information please contact the Religious Education Office. 

Garden of Flowers: Special Needs religious Education

We offer specialized religious education classes for both children and adults with special needs who in need of their sacraments. This program provides an opportunity for them to be prepared to the best of their ability to receive their Sacraments and grow in their relationship with Jesus. The 45

The 45 is a kids program designed to enrich fourth and fifth graders as they continue their Catholic faith journey, leading the closer to Christ and the Church. The 45 meets regularly throughout the school year allowing the 45'ers to participate with their peer sin games, worship music, bible study, and informative talks about our Catholic faith. 

Edge

Edge is a a youth group for middle school aged students. The goal of this program is to create a space to build a community of peers and learn about our faith. In may respects, our middle school youth are mentally, spiritually, and socially. We want to introduce parents and young teens to a deeper relationship with Jesus Christ and His Body, the Church. Our Edge meetings have awesome talks, fun games, worship music and food. Edge meetings are offered most weeks after the Sunday 5pm Mass. Please contact the Religious Education Office for more i

Restorative Justice

We have a team of people who visit those in jail offering them prayer, spiritual companionship and pastoral care in the example of Jesus Christ. Please contact the parish office for more details on how to join this ministry. 

Seasoned Singles

Seasoned Singles provide a resource for social interaction of widows, widowers, divorced and separated singles age 55 and over to meet, know, support and care for each other in a safe and social atmosphere. Activities include concerts, movies, trips, and potlucks planned thought the year.
